We were sitting on the couch watching Dexter and Hollie says that my hair looks really good so I says “someone quick take a picture”

IMG_0330I dont think it looks all that great but since I was wearing a helmet most of the day i guess it is pretty good.  I took a picture of Hollie too.

For Hollie’s birthday we went to our favorite mexican restaurant, Paublo’s.   Mom got drunk from 1 1/2 Margarita’s.  We ordered a cake from Carolyn’s and ate it with Granny in the hospital.

Justin is finally back from PA.  It was beautiful today too!  We tried to go to Carolyn’s for breakfast but for some reason a lot of things around here are not open on Monday. So we went to Shoney’s  instead which was ok but not the same.  Anyhoo we went to Joes 2nd street Bistro for dinner.  Which was also just ok.  It was definitely not worth the money.  29 South was WAY better.

So my mom rode a bike for the 1st time in years.  She did pretty well.  Hollie rode along side her and shouted out her speed.  When we came to a slight incline (also called a ‘huge hill’ by those without a motor) the number would slowly decrease.  At one point it was zero.

We also walked on the beach a little where we found this:

We were on our way to the beach when Aunt Claire called and said that she needed help with Granny so Mom turned and went back.  We decided not to leave since Granny was pretty sick.  We walked around the yard instead.  Sebastian did not like it as much as the beach but any time he can be wandering around without a leash he is happy.

I went over to have dinner with my mom tonight.  As I was leaving I took a picture of the Kumquat tree.  I never knew exactly what a kumquat was until last year at the farmer’s market.  It is a citrus fruit that looks like an orange the size of a grape.  It is eaten like a grape too- skin and all.  In fact the skin is the sweet part.  The insides are rather bitter.

On Saturday night Hollie filled out an application to become a member of the Moose Lodge.  It is too far away for me to become a member.  There is a Lodge in Yulee but I have a feeling that it would not be my kind of crowd.

Before that we went to “The Broken Spoke” to hear Hollie’s old band play with a new singer.  The best part was Todd’s hat (which I didn’t take a picture of but should have).

So Justin is going to be in PA for Valentines day this year.  I said that was ok as long as he made it up to me before and after.  So tonight was the before.  We went to 29 South and it was way yummy. We sat outside because I didn’t realize that it was 45 degrees.  I wasn’t cold but Justin was!

Mom decided that my room was very dusty and that it must be dusted.  My theory is that if the dust is laying still on things it is not bothering me so I will leave it alone.  She thinks that wiping it around and up into the air for me to breathe in is a much better idea.  So she came over and moved all my stuff around and complained that the cars outside were making my fan dirty and blah blah.  Thank you for dusting my room, mom.  It was very thoughtful of you.  (Oh she also Swiffered  my floor without the swiffer pad on the stick thing. )

We watched the Steelers lose to the Packers in the Superbowl at home.  Justin make grilled Swiss cheese samiches and I made sticky rolls using puff pastries.  And that is about all
